HEINI HANSIO
INTERIOR ARCHITECT
01 Info
Heini Hansio is an interior architect with over 25 years of experience in designing both private homes and public spaces.
Heini founded her first company, the interior design store SIS.CO Design, in Tampere in 1998. She then gained valuable experience as a designer in Isku Oy’s project sales division and later worked for five years at Artek Oy AB.
In 2006, Heini founded her own interior architecture studio, through which she continues to create and oversee large-scale renovation and comprehensive interior design projects in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
One of her last projects was Villa Humlevik, the heritage Paulig villa in Töölö, Helsinki, completed in 2025. Heini worked on the project as the interior architect.
Today, one of Heini´s particular interests is exploring the experience of beauty and how colour and material harmonies can influence the atmosphere of a home as well as our well-being and nervous system.
Drawing on this work, she shares her expertise through various educational programmes and ready-made colour harmony plans.
Interior architecture projects and shorter consulting assignments continue to be an important part of Heini’s work.
One of the projects closest to Heini’s heart has been the charitable jewellery project Guardian of the Baltic Sea. Together with her sister, Linda Lehto, she designed a jewellery collection that raised €125,000, wich was donated to the Baltic Sea Action Group to support the protection of the Baltic Sea.
